In mammalian brain anatomy, the prefrontal cortex (PFC) covers the front part of the frontal lobe of the human brain. It is the association cortex in the frontal lobe. This region is responsible for processing and adapting one’s thinking in order to meet certain goals in different situations. These processes of thinking can include the brain allowing one to focus, control how they behave, and make different decisions.
